Crying is Your Body’s Way of Lessening Emotional Stress

Crying not only helps you lessen your emotional stress but also helps you process those emotions.

If you hold back your tears. Swallow or bury your emotions. Your body gets stopped up with that emotional energy.

 

I get pain in my body when I stop the process of the emotional flow.

Your body begins to hold that energy in your organs, muscles, and brain.

Depression, anxiety, and insomnia start to take hold.

Some stop eating, some overeat, some smoke cigarettes, some use drugs and alcohol.

How many of you have heard big girls or boys don’t cry?

Or maybe grow up and stop crying.

I brought you into this world I will take you out.

Put your big girl panties on.

Oh, come on enough with the tears get over it.

These are just a few that clients have shared with me over the years.

Lies, all lies.

The way to face the lies is with the truth.

Once you know the truth that you are not a crybaby, you are strong. reclaiming your energy and releasing the emotions into understanding your tears.

Repeat after me :

My tears make me strong.

My tears help me deal with my emotional stress.

When I cry it means I have been strong so long that I am a fighter, brave and courageous.

So cry and heal. Write about it in a journal. Do emotional art.

Do anything but bury it within you.
