Singing, moving, and Listening to music can connect to our minds in a positive way.
There is also drumming. When I am overcome with grief I use tapping on my heart it helps to focus me on the present moment.
Tapping on the table to a tune moves me.
I have a flute and a recorder… I like to sit outside and play my recorder for the birds… sometimes they answer me!
I listen to 70’s rock to get me moving … Queen, “another one bites the Dust” gets me moving my shoulders and feet and soon I am ready to tackle the chores of the day!
I listen to quiet music like a cello and piano station when I need to write.
In the morning I like meditation music. It calms my mind and centers my body and soul.
